Live like a Parisian
The question I get asked most, and the one I always struggle to answer is: “What’s your favourite destination?” For someone with endless wanderlust, it feels almost impossible to choose. But there is one place that captured my heart years ago and has never let it go… Paris.
J’adore la France, I always have, but Paris is something truly magical. The people, the culture, the food, the wine, the history, the architecture, the atmosphere… every corner feels effortlessly romantic and impossibly beautiful.

I could write forever about the food alone. Eat everything. Wander away from the tourist traps and step into the boulangeries, the fromageries, the patisseries and Nicolas wine shops. Then take your bread, wine and cheese for a picnic in the city — my favourite spot being beside the Louvre. Pure Parisian bliss.

Now by all means visit the incredible Louvre, but my favourite museum will always be the Musée d’Orsay, where you can lose yourself in as many renaissance and post- impressionist masterpieces as possible. My favourite being Van Goghs Starry night over the Rhone.

Take a boat ride along the Seine, have dinner in the Eiffel Tower, and shop until your credit card begs for mercy in Galeries Lafayette and along the Champs-Élysées.

Pack your Louboutins, wear the killer dress, and run through the streets pretending you’re Emily in Paris with absolutely no cares in the world. And whatever you do, don’t miss the Eiffel Tower sparkling at night — it’s pure magic.

Buy original art in Montmartre from the incredible artists lining the hilltop streets and fall in love with the charm of its hidden winding streets and stunning views from the Sacre Coeur.

The Moulin Rouge is iconic, of course, but for me the most unforgettable show in Paris is the Crazy Horse — intimate, elegant, artistic and flawlessly luxurious.

Buy a ticket to the Palais Garnier , whether it’s a ballet or an opera it almost doesn’t matter as it’s not really about understanding every note or knowing the story perfectly, it’s about surrendering to the atmosphere. Watching dancers move so effortlessly it doesn’t seem human. Feeling music fill an entire room until it settles somewhere deep in your chest. Travel is strange that way, we spend so much time trying to “see everything” that we sometimes forget the moments we remember most are usually the ones where we slowed down enough to actually feel where we were. It is not just an opera house, it is history in motion: the rustle of silk, the glow of gold, the sense that, just for a moment, you are part of a story bigger than your own.

My biggest tip? Don’t just stay within the city walls. Versailles is absolutely breath-taking, and if you’re anything like me — a Disney, Marvel and Star Wars nerd — then a Disneyland Paris day trip is completely essential.

I am unsure what was harder, trying to condense this blog so I didn't write a novel or choosing a handful of the thousands of photographs I have to try and do my favourite city justice, but I will end with saying this... Paris isn’t just a destination to me, it’s a feeling. One that never really leaves your heart once you’ve experienced it.
So when are we booking your next trip?
