Planning a Corporate or Golf Society Trip? Let Me Take Care of the Details

Mel Stead on 23 Jul 2026

Organising a golf trip for two or four people is one thing. Organising one for an entire golf society, corporate team or club group is something else entirely! There are flights to coordinate, rooms to allocate, airport transfers to arrange, tee times to secure and buggies or trolleys to reserve. Then come the questions: Who is sharing with whom? Can the golf bags travel on the flight? How far is the course from the hotel? Does everyone need a buggy? Where will the group eat? What can non-golfing partners do while everyone else is playing? Before long, the person who volunteered to organise an enjoyable few days away can feel as though they have taken on a second job. That’s where I can help.

More than simply booking your golf holiday

As a golfer myself, I understand that a successful group trip involves much more than choosing a sunny destination and a good course.

The location of the hotel matters. The quality and variety of the courses matter. Transfer times matter. The availability of buggies and hire equipment matters too—as do the restaurants, nightlife and activities available once everyone has finished playing.

I can research and arrange the complete trip, including:

  • Flights and golf-club carriage
  • Accommodation and rooming arrangements
  • Private or shared transfers
  • Tee times across one or several courses
  • Buggies, trolleys and equipment hire
  • Group dining and special celebrations
  • Activities for non-golfing partners
  • Travel protection and financial security
  • Individual payments, where available
  • Clear information for every member of the group

Everything is brought together into one carefully planned itinerary, giving the organiser a single point of contact throughout.

Supporting golf professionals and society organisers

A golf professional or society organiser should be able to concentrate on the group—not spend hours comparing hotels, chasing payments and answering the same travel questions repeatedly.  I work alongside the professional or lead organiser, taking responsibility for the travel arrangements while they remain at the heart of the trip.

We can discuss the group’s budget, preferred destination, standard of accommodation and the type of courses they would like to play. I will then research the most suitable options and help create an itinerary that works for the entire group.

The organiser often wants to create competitions, team challenges, prizes, presentation evenings and all the little extras that make a golf trip memorable. By allowing me to manage the travel and logistics, they have more time to organise these exciting elements and create a brilliant experience for everyone.

Whether you are planning a relaxed society getaway, an annual club trip, a corporate golf event or something more competitive, the arrangements can be shaped around you.

Would you like me to host the trip too?

For larger groups, I can also travel as your host. Having someone there to oversee the arrangements can make an enormous difference. I can help coordinate the group at the airport, liaise with the hotel and local suppliers, confirm transfers, tee times and buggies, and deal with any unexpected issues along the way.

On golfing days, I can help make sure everyone is ready, has the information they need and arrives at the correct tee at the right time. This leaves the golf professional free to spend more time teaching, supporting the players and enjoying the trip—and much less time trying to organise everybody. It also allows the professional, corporate host or society organiser to focus on the competitions, prizes and social elements that bring the group together.

I am currently preparing to host a mixed golf group in Tenerife, and it is a service I enjoying offering to golf clubs, societies and corporate groups.

What about partners who don’t play golf?

Not every partner wants to spend their holiday on a golf course—and they shouldn’t have to. I recommend resorts and destinations that work equally well for golfers and non-golfers, with options such as beautiful pools and beaches, spas, shopping, sightseeing, food experiences and organised excursions.

While the golfers enjoy their round, their partners can have a fabulous day of their own. Everyone can then come back together for drinks, dinner and the all-important discussion about what happened on the course!

Where could your next golf trip take you?

Portugal, Spain and Tenerife remain brilliant choices for group golf holidays, with excellent courses, reliable sunshine and plenty to enjoy away from the fairways.  For groups looking for something different, destinations such as Turkey, Morocco, Mauritius, South Africa and the Caribbean can combine memorable golf with exceptional hotels and experiences.

The right choice depends on the group—and that is precisely why personal advice matters.

Let’s plan your next golf trip

If you are a golf professional, society organiser, corporate event planner or simply the person who has been nominated to arrange the next trip, I would love to help.

From the first idea to the final tee time—and, if required, by hosting the trip itself—I can take care of the arrangements so that you can concentrate on the golf, the competitions, the company and having a fantastic time.
