Exploring in Italy

Sophie Johnson on 02 Apr 2026

Looking for a family holiday that combines adventure, culture, food and sunshine? Italy is the perfect destination — and the best part is that you can explore it without hiring a car. Our Italian adventure starts with a flight into Venice, before travelling through Italy by train to Lake Garda, Florence and finally Sorrento. 🚤 Venice – 3 Nights Fly into Venice and make your arrival extra special with a water taxi from the airport straight into the city. Spend a few days exploring the canals, St Mark’s Square and Rialto Bridge, enjoying plenty of pizza and gelato along the way. Venice is easy to explore as a family, with walking and boats making getting around part of the adventure. 🎢 Lake Garda – 3 Nights Hop on the train and head to beautiful Lake Garda. Enjoy the lake, take a boat trip and, of course, spend a full day at Gardaland. With family rides, bigger thrills and plenty to keep everyone entertained, it’s a guaranteed holiday highlight. 🍝 Florence – 3 Nights Next stop is Florence, travelling by train. Explore the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio and the beautiful streets of the city, but make sure to leave time for a family Italian cooking class. Learning to make pasta together before sitting down to enjoy your creations is a memory everyone can take home. 🌊 Sorrento & Capri – 3/4 Nights Our final stop is sunny Sorrento, reached by train via Naples. Relax, explore the charming streets and enjoy the spectacular coastal views. Then take a short boat trip across to Capri for a day of exploring this beautiful island. ✈️ Home After an unforgettable journey through Italy, travel back to Naples Airport and fly home. Why It’s Perfect for Families This itinerary gives you a little bit of everything: Venice’s magic, Lake Garda’s adventure, Florence’s culture and food, and Sorrento’s sunshine and sea. And because the main journeys are by train, there is no need to worry about driving, parking or navigating unfamiliar roads. You can sit back, relax and enjoy travelling through Italy together. Four destinations. One amazing family adventure. And memories to last a lifetime.
