I have just returned from a stay at Mare Paphos, a modern and aesthetically pleasing hotel set in a beautiful clifftop location overlooking the sea. Waking up to those wide-open views and watching the sunset from the hotel felt really special.

This was a big holiday for us, with 13 of us travelling together. Everyone loved every minute, and it felt really special to make such lovely memories together during our stay.

The food was a real highlight: plenty of choice, great quality and consistently excellent throughout our stay. I was genuinely impressed by how well the hotel catered for different tastes.

It is a fantastic option for young families, with a waterpark for younger children, a kids’ club, mini disco and evening entertainment for all the family. There is a lovely balance between stylish surroundings for adults and great facilities to keep little ones happy, which makes it a very easy and relaxing base for a Cyprus holiday.

A highlight of our holiday was a trip over to Latchi, followed by a boat trip to the Blue Lagoon. The water here is crystal clear, and we had so much fun on the inflatable slide straight into the sea. It is a brilliant day out and adds a real sense of adventure to your stay.

You are also well placed for exploring. Coral Bay is just a short bus ride away (around 5 minutes), with plenty of bars, restaurants and a beautiful beach offering watersports. For even more choice of bars, restaurants and a livelier atmosphere, central Paphos and the harbour is roughly 20 minutes away by taxi.
