Christmas in Antarctica It’s Christmas Eve and here we are in Antarctica, having started off in Buenos Aires, followed by the Falkland Islands, and now Christmas and New Year in Antarctica. 50 year Wedding Anniversary to Australia & New Zealand After visiting 2 well known travel agents, we decided to go to Grant at Travel Counsellors whom my daughter has used before for a trip to Florida Disneyworld etc and he was fantastic then, as he has been now for booking our Australia/New Zealand Cruise. Once again (third time) Grant has delivered above and beyond our expectations. We picked a country out of a hat for our next travels. It's not on Grants list, did that stop him? No way! 2025 trip to Goa Our fifth time booking a trip with the help of Grant, that says it all. The friendly yet professional service keeps us coming back again

I just wanted to say a huge huge thank you to Grant for arranging our perfect trip to Crete (our second perfect holiday booked with Grant). I know I was fussy when we booked, HAD to have two bedrooms, HAD to have a swim up pool but not a plunge, had to be all inclusive couldn't be too far from the airport, of course private transfer and sunshine! Well we got absolutely ALL of that and within our budget too. The Gouves Water park hotel was everything we wanted and the staff we incredibly friendly and helpful. A little glitch that you sorted for us immediately meant we didn't lose any relaxing time and fully enjoyed every moment of our wonderful holiday. I know without you being so proactive we may have struggled to get our message across to the lovely staff at the hotel but you sorted it so quickly for us. We have just returned from a family trip to Egypt organised by the fantastic Grant Bowles. We had a rough idea of what we wanted to do and Grant was very patient as we went through lots of options. Once we had decided, Grant took care of organising everything from the flights, hotels, private transfers and organised tours. We travelled to Hurghada and had a two night trip to Luxor, visiting Luxor and Karnak temples and The Valley of the Kings, all organised in advance by Grant. Then we returned to Hurghada to spend some time by the Red Sea. Grant’s communication was brilliant throughout. Trip of a lifetime Just returned from an epic holiday in Australia for a month. Grant's brilliant. There, I said it. My wife and I are just back from our wedding anniversary break in Florence, which Grant organised for us. Here's two actual examples from this break of what you get from booking with Grant - and the superb care and attention to detail you'll get: 1) Our plane seats, had the best legroom on the plane. Grant arranged this quite deliberately, based on his experience / type of plane used on that particular flight / airline. Wow. 2) He had called ahead and informed the hotel that it was our wedding anniversary, and that as his valued clients, perhaps the hotel could arrange a suitable surprise for us? Well, not only did we get a room upgrade, but there was a bottle of fizz, glasses, and chocolates waiting in our room for us. A lovely, thoughtful surprise, and typical Grant to organise something such as this. Absolute perfect experience Not used a travel counsellors before as I've always been dubious and think I'm good at planning, but with a recommendation by another of Grant Bowles customers we booked a family trip to Mexico through Grant. From the first comms where I explained what we wanted and Grant gave us a variety of options within our budget I knew this guy was more on the ball than myself. We booked a trip and included a snorkeling tour through Grant. I suppose when a trip goes well that's when the good reviews come in but when there is a minor hiccup and Travel Counsellors sorted it so so quickly with much communication and reassurance, that's when you know you can trust who you've booked with. And that's exactly what I feel. I felt so confident that Travel Counsellors and especially Grant really cared for every moment of our Mexican holiday that I could sit back, drink Pina Coladas in the pool and enjoy my private experience with the turtles and stingrays in the ocean. 100% recommend and that's from a fussy DIY holiday booker.

Grant Bowles arranged a fabulous holiday for us In Santorini to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We stayed at the gorgeous San Antonio Hotel. The staff, food and views were all amazing! I'm travelling to Italy with a specialist American tour operator. I wanted to arrive a day ahead of my scheduled holiday, but I've been unable to talk to them on the phone for weeks. They told me I couldn't book an additional night by email, and would have to do it over the phone. I turned to Grant asking for a single night in a hotel in the centre of Rome in late April, something that's very hard to book, and he dived in immediately and sorted it out for me in no time at all. I was scared to go in blind with no local knowledge, and Grant warned me there were lots of unsafe hotel websites in Rome. So glad I have Grant to help. He works very hard for his clients.

There were some issues with the hotel in Rome, but as soon as he know about them Grant dealt with it very promptly and organised a part refund for that part of the holiday. I couldn't expect him to do more, and when I got home there was a full apology and a special gift from Grant and the tour company in recompense.

“Hiya Grant we were so busy yesterday?? drinking cherry slushie in the blue lagoon whilst the sun shone down on us, just what more could I say ?? Every single part of this holiday has literally been wonderful. BA assistance, I didn't know T5 was so huge, I couldn't have managed it without help. The very beginning of the hols I had Ken, the person pushing my chair, in hysterics with my banter, at one point he had to stop and nearly collapsed when I calmly stated I spent most of my 20s legless so I'm used to this ?? The blue lagoon was breath taking and we felt so lucky that the sun was shining. Last night Obeo travel went above and beyond. Couldn't catch the lady's name but it began with R. She actually came into the hotel lobby and chatted with us (yup as Chas and Dave would say I've more rabbit than Sainsbury's) whilst we waited for the mini bus. Obeo are amazing as well. We didn't see the lights but that's ok, we loved being on the adventure and there's always another day. Today we're off to the Saga museum, another highlight. I would highly recommend Grant. He’s exceptional in his knowledge of the travel industry and is very informative when keeping you up to date with all aspects of the booking process. He advises, answers questions and where ever you want to do he tries to fit it in to the schedule. He is a people person, polite and approachable. I haven’t had any problems from start of conversation through to booking and would definitely use him again.

Not only had he secured exactly what we asked for, he had done so with better (and direct) flights. Well what do I say about Grant? He goes that extra mile to make the booking experience seamless. There’s a party of 10 of us off to Ibiza in July for my dad’s 70th birthday and he was so patient and so extremely helpful getting it all sorted. We did have quite a list of requirements! Grant Bowles at travel counsellors has been amazing at arranging our holiday. I had a 'bucket list' holiday dream of going to Iceland but because of my disability didn't think I'd be able to go. Kudos to Grant Bowles. Five stars!! #I wanted to book a surprise holiday for my husband's 60th but firstly I had to wait for his new passport to arrive. Grant was patient and sent through various options to choose from. Finally the passport arrived so I went ahead and booked flights and tours to Iceland. A few days later all the information, flight tickets, tour vouchers, even luggage labels arrived. The day of my husband's birthday arrived and I could finally tell him what I'd booked and we started looking forward to our first trip in over 2 years. Then the day before we were due to travel (a Sunday too), we took the decision not to travel due to illness and ever-changing covid travel rules. Grant worked all day to move our trip to next year, liaising with the suppliers to minimise any extra costs and did a fantastic job.
