Disneyland Resort in California is the original Disney park, opened in 1955 and personally overseen by Walt Disney himself, so it has a unique sense of history and nostalgia you simply do not get anywhere else. While it is smaller and more compact than the Florida parks, that actually adds to the charm: it feels walkable, intimate and full of detail, with classic attractions and magical touches around every corner that make the whole experience feel truly special.

We enjoyed 3 days in Disneyland California before heading to Hawaii and it was truly magical - it is also a perfect for a few days as part of a longer California adventure!
