Based in the beautiful coastal town of Musselburgh, East Lothian, I run Niall and Louise Wallace Travel Counsellors alongside my husband, Niall. Although I’ve lived and worked in the Edinburgh area my entire life, my heart is often scattered across the globe, searching for the next incredible experience for my clients.

From Software Bugs to Sun-Drenched Shores
My journey to becoming a Travel Counsellor wasn’t a straight line, but every step prepared me for what I do today. For years, I worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer, hunting for bugs and glitches within software. That career drilled a "perfectionist" mindset into me. I learned how to spot the tiny details that others might miss.

Eventually, I began supporting Niall in the travel business as his assistant, and I quickly realized that my technical precision combined with my obsession for travel was the perfect match.
When the opportunity arose to officially join the Travel Counsellors family, I didn’t hesitate. I traded "debugging code" for "de-stressing travel," and I love it!

A Family That Explores Together
If there is one thing I want my clients to know, it’s this: Adventure doesn't have to stop when you have a family. I live with Niall, our three energetic young sons, and our two black labs, Meg and Mabel. We even recently welcomed a leopard gecko into the family—a direct result of the kids being inspired by the wildlife we encountered on a recent trip to Thailand!
I didn't travel extensively as a child, but I have certainly made up for it as an adult. Whether it’s navigating the rugged wilderness of Alaska (a personal favorite for the breathtaking wildlife), exploring the vibrant streets of Thailand, or enjoying the magic of Florida, Dubai, and Canada, we travel as a pack. I know firsthand the logistics, the challenges, and the pure joy of world schooling my children through real-life experiences.
