How often do you get the chance to stand just 800 miles from the North Pole and call it "work"?
Expedition cruising
Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the CLIA Expedition Showcase in Svalbard, deep inside the Arctic Circle. Surrounded by glaciers, mountains and breathtaking scenery, it was the perfect place to learn more about one of the fastest-growing sectors of the cruise industry
Over several days, I met expedition experts, explored expedition ships and learned more about voyages to destinations such as Antarctica, Greenland and the Arctic.
What makes expedition cruising different? It's all about the destination. Instead of sea days and pool decks, think Zodiac excursions, incredible wildlife encounters, expert guides and visiting places that few people ever get to experience.
The trip reinforced something I've always believed: there is no substitute for first-hand experience. By seeing these ships and hearing directly from the expedition teams, I can give my clients honest advice on which expedition cruise is right for them.
Whether you dream of spotting polar bears in the Arctic, penguins in Antarctica or simply exploring some of the world's most remote destinations, expedition cruising offers unforgettable experiences.
And after my time in Svalbard, I'm even more passionate about helping clients discover them.
Have you ever considered an expedition cruise? I'd love to share what I learned and help you plan your own adventure.
