Sailing in Style on Crystal Serenity

Just back from Crystal Serenity… and I totally get the hype Relaxed luxury, incredible service, and one of the most spacious suites I’ve stayed in at sea – this is cruising done properly.

Crystal Serenity – My Honest Review

From the minute we arrived in Athens, everything just felt easy – smooth transfers, a warm welcome, and that lovely personal touch Crystal do so well (very “this way please, Mrs Webster” )

We stayed in a Sapphire Veranda Suite, which was really spacious – proper his and hers sinks, a big shower, a comfortable sitting area, and a lovely balcony that was actually a good size (not one you just stand on!).

The ship itself is beautiful – elegant but not stuffy – and because there are only around 600 guests, it never feels busy or crowded. The suites are gorgeous too… spacious, light, and just very comfortable.

We visited some lovely places along the way, including Patmos, Bodrum and Crete – a great mix of relaxed exploring, beach time and a bit of history (the Palace of Knossos was a real highlight).

On board, there’s plenty to enjoy without it ever feeling over the top –
amazing food (Nobu was a standout for me relaxed afternoons by the pool, afternoon tea with a pianist and some lovely entertainment in the evenings.

What I really loved was the overall feel of the ship – calm, uncrowded and very easy to settle into. It’s proper luxury, but in a relaxed, understated way.

If you’re looking for a luxury cruise where everything just flows, with brilliant service and no crowds, Crystal is definitely one to consider.
