Welcome to my corner of the Travel Counsellors website.

I’ve been travelling for more than 40 years and been lucky enough to visit some amazing places. South Africa, Namibia, Egypt, Iceland, Italy, Canada, Australia and New Zealand are among my favourites. A passion for ancient history and culture has also taken me to places like the Pyramids of Giza, Petra in Jordan, Delphi in Greece, Pompeii in Italy and countless others.

I’d love to help you experience places like these too. But here’s the thing, I don’t think great travel is simply about ticking destinations off a bucket list.

The best journeys don’t always begin with the most popular destination or the most obvious choice. They often begin with a question.

Not just “Where should I go?” but “What am I really looking for from this experience?”

I’ve spent much of my working life in communications, where asking questions, understanding people and sometimes challenging the obvious have been a big part of what I do. So perhaps it’s not surprising that I bring the same approach to travel.

I call it my Fifth Compass approach to travel planning.

The most popular or obvious destination isn’t necessarily the right destination for you. I’ll listen to what you really want from your trip and explore what might suit you better.

There’s usually more than one way to get the experience you’re looking for. I’ll use my own experience, destination knowledge and access to Travel Counsellors’ trusted partners and exclusive offers to explore different options with you.

Experience more:

The result isn’t simply a holiday booked and ticked off your to-do list. It’s a journey designed around you, one that gives you more of what matters, whether that’s discovery, connection, adventure, relaxation or something completely different.

I’ll take care of the details too, including the Travel Counsellors Financial Trust and ATOL protection (if applicable), flexible payments via the myTC app and my support before, during and after your trip.
