My name is Melanie Kay Johnson and I live in Rossendale in Lancashire with my youngest daughter Aimee and my black Labrador Arthur. I have been helping people to plan their holiday dreams for the last 37 years, a career which has helped me share my passion for travel.

In October 2025, I will have been a Travel Counsellor for 21 years. It is the best time I have ever had in the travel industry. Travel Counsellors allows me to share my extensive knowledge with you & personalise your adventures & experiences.

Travel is moving fast & furious again since the world stood still in 2020. Whether it be on trains, planes or automobiles. Cruises, buses or horseback its happening.

I have travelled all over the world including the Far East, Australia, South Africa and United Arab Emirates as well as all over Europe to name but a few. My greatest experience so far was a visit to Johannesburg and the Madikwe Game reserve where I saw the most fantastic animals in the wild. Also I visited the Kruger National Park and travelled to Mpumalanga, White River, Hazey View and God's Window. South Africa is just the most amazing country. One of my favourite place is Switzerland. Summer or winter I love it!
In 2019 I visited California. I stayed in Huntington Beach, Palm Springs and San Diego. This was a first time visit to America for me. I really enjoyed it, so much to see & do for all ages. I took in a visit to the MS Midway which was out of this world & also watched the LA Dodgers play a game.
In March 2020 my friends & I went to New York for the weekend, just wow!! We flew on Aer Lingus via Dublin so cleared customs there, it’s much easier than flying direct into JFK. Lots to say about New York! I can plan the best itinerary for you.
Over the last 6 months I have visited Texas & sailed the Danube on an amazing river cruise
In January this year I travelled to Perth in Australia. My daughter Ellie now lives there pursuing her career as a midwife. My brother & his family have lived there for nearly 20 years.

I also have a wealth of cruise knowledge after sailing on many wonderful ships. Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, MSC, P&O, Regent, Silversea & Seabourn to name but a few. River cruise is one of my new favourite type of cruising. This year June 2025 I sailed on Brilliance of the Seas to Greece Turkey. Cyprus with all the family.

I have extensive knowledge in long haul travel, round the world itineraries & luxury travel I also specialise in family holidays for all ages.
