Hi, I’m Michaela, a Manchester based Personal Travel Counsellor with over 23 years of experience in the travel industry.
My love for travel started young, thanks to my grandparents’ shipping business, as I got to travel the world with them. I was lucky enough to explore the world before tourism took off in places like the Middle and Far East. Those early adventures sparked a lifelong passion for discovering new destinations, cultures and unforgettable experiences.
Today, I specialise in creating tailormade holidays for all types of travellers, whether it’s a once in a lifetime USA road trip, a family beach escape, an escorted tour, or an intricate multi-centre adventure across the globe. I have particular expertise in the USA and Canada, as well as in designing intricate multi centre itineraries, but with access to hundreds of trusted suppliers and trade-only travel brands, I can help you explore just about anywhere.
I’ve explored the USA, Canada, the Middle East, Far East, Europe and for a short, quick holiday, there’s a little corner of Turkey that’s my go to, it’s my happy place at least once a year.
Some of my own travel highlights include helping at an elephant rehabilitation centre in Chiang Mai, stargazing with my family in the remote American wilderness during an RV holiday, getting married in Las Vegas, climbing Sigiriya Rock, waking up to powder-white sands on Florida’s Gulf Coast, and experiencing the magic of Disney through my son’s eyes on his very first visit in 2004, and in fact every year after that until 2014.
These are the moments that make travel unforgettable, and I love helping others create memories just as special.
What really drives me is getting to know my clients and understanding what they’re dreaming of, and then building something personal around it. I love nothing more than chatting through your ideas, and turning them into the kind of trip you’ll talk about for years to come.
As your Travel Counsellor, I offer a one to one service from start to finish, I’m here to take the stress out of planning and give you complete peace of mind.
Away from work I’m also a wife and mum, and I truly value the flexibility this role gives me, not only to be there for my family, but for my clients too. I always try and work around my customers, offering support when it suits your schedule, whether that’s during the day, in the evening or at weekends, and if you are local to me, I'm happy to meet up for a coffee too... us Northerners don't need an excuse for a brew!
