Your journey begins in Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city, where you can enjoy views of the Chugach Mountains and get a taste of the state’s outdoor way of life. It’s a great introduction to the region, with local restaurants serving Alaskan seafood, craft breweries, and easy access to scenic spots such as the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail.

Next, you’ll travel to Denali National Park, home to Denali, North America’s highest mountain. The park is known for its wide-open landscapes and varied wildlife, so keep watch for moose, caribou, Dall sheep, and grizzly bears. Travelling through this remote area gives you a real sense of Alaska’s scale, with long views across forests, rivers, and mountains.

The journey then shifts from the Yukon’s gold-rush history to the coast, where you’ll board Koningsdam in Skagway. Settle into life at sea as the ship sails through Glacier Bay, giving you front-row views of towering glaciers and snow-covered peaks. You’ll continue to Ketchikan, known for its colourful waterfront, Native Alaskan heritage, and fresh seafood, before cruising through the Inside Passage towards Vancouver.

Throughout the trip, your accommodation is designed to give you a comfortable place to relax between each day’s experiences. On the land portion, you’ll stay in selected hotels and lodges, while your time aboard Koningsdam provides a practical retreat at sea. The ship also offers two pools, six hot tubs, the Greenhouse Spa & Salon, live music at Rolling Stone Lounge, panoramic views from the Crow’s Nest, and a choice of dining venues.
