You can start the day with a swim, break it up with time at the Elixir Spa, or settle in with a drink by the water and let the afternoon take its course.

Just outside the resort, Heraklion offers a straightforward way to mix things up. The harbour, with Koules Fortress at its edge, is easy to wander around, and the streets behind it are filled with bakeries, cafés and small local spots. It’s a good place to stop for dakos, try Cretan cheeses like graviera, or sit down for simple grilled dishes and a carafe of local wine.

Food at Amirandes gives you options without overcomplicating things. There are several restaurants across the resort, so you can change the setting depending on the mood. Lago di Candia is a strong choice in the evening, set beside the water with a more relaxed feel, while other venues cover Mediterranean dishes and lighter options for slower lunches.
