Your trip begins in Regensburg, where cobbled streets and medieval buildings set the tone before you head deeper into the Danube. One of the standout stretches comes at the Schlögen Loop, where the river curves tightly through wooded hills, before opening out again towards the Wachau Valley, known for its vineyards and small riverside towns like Dürnstein.
There’s a natural flow to the way you explore, with guided experiences included but space to do your own thing as well. In Vienna, you might spend the morning taking in grand boulevards and palace-lined streets, then find yourself in a café later on, while in Budapest, the city opens up along the river as you arrive, with landmarks lining both sides.
Along the way, it’s the smaller moments that tend to stay with you - tasting local produce from the Wachau Valley, passing through quiet villages, or simply watching the scenery shift from your seat as you cruise.
