Your first stop is Cork, where the overnight stay means there’s no need to squeeze everything into a few hours. Spend time exploring Cork City, browse the stalls of the English Market for Irish cheeses, freshly baked bread, and local produce, then continue along St Patrick’s Street or settle into one of the city’s traditional pubs.

On your second day, you could use your extra time in Cork to head to nearby Cobh, the colourful harbour town that played an important part in Ireland’s maritime history. Visit the Titanic Experience, see the striking St Colman’s Cathedral overlooking the waterfront, and wander past the brightly painted houses that line the town. It makes for a very different second day to time spent in Cork City itself.

After leaving Ireland, you’ll have a full day at sea to enjoy MSC Virtuosa. Take your pick from the pools and water park, spend time beneath the LED dome of Galleria Virtuosa, catch live entertainment, or stop for a drink at the MSC Starship Club, home to robotic bartender Rob. Special Dirty Dancing and What the Folk entertainment also gives this particular sailing something extra to look forward to in the evenings.
