Your first major stop is Eternity Fjord, where mountains rise up to 2,000 metres from the water. You’ll also visit Kangaamiut, a small settlement of around 300 people on Akulleq Island. Here, fishing and hunting remain an important part of daily life, giving you an insight into a remote Greenlandic community.

Next, you’ll reach Ilulissat Icefjord, a UNESCO-listed site and one of Greenland’s best-known natural landmarks. Follow the wooden boardwalk towards the ice, where huge icebergs move slowly through the fjord in shades of white, grey, and blue. You can also visit the Icefjord Centre or walk to Sermermiut for views across the water and surrounding landscape.

The voyage then continues to Disko Island, the only major island in Greenland formed from ancient basalt lava flows. You’ll explore the waters around the island by expedition boat before going ashore in Qeqertarsuaq, a colourful town beneath tall basalt cliffs. Depending on conditions, there may also be opportunities for a nature walk or a community visit, giving you a closer look at local life.

Your Polar Outside Cabin on MS Fridtjof Nansen provides a comfortable place to relax between excursions. Elsewhere on the ship, you have access to the infinity pool, hot tubs, sauna, fitness room, Explorer Lounge and Bar, and Science Centre, while three restaurants serve Nordic-inspired, international, and locally influenced dishes.
