Your holiday begins in Budapest, where a guided tour introduces you to highlights including the Hungarian Parliament Building, the Opera House, Gellért Baths, Chain Bridge, and the Castle District. You can choose between a panoramic coach tour or an active walking tour around Fisherman’s Bastion, before sailing through the Danube Bend, where the river winds between wintry hills and dramatic valleys.

Next, you’ll arrive in Bratislava, Slovakia’s compact capital, for a guided tour through the baroque old town. See St Martin’s Cathedral, Primate’s Palace, the Old Opera House, and Michael’s Gate, the only preserved gate in the city’s medieval fortifications. Afterwards, spend time at the Christmas markets, sampling local specialities such as potato pancakes and poppy-seed strudel.

Your journey then continues to Vienna, where you’ll see the grand sights along the Ringstrasse and have time to visit the city’s traditional Christmas markets. Browse the stalls at Rathausplatz or Schönbrunn Palace, stop for a hot chocolate in a classic Viennese café, and enjoy a special Chef’s Dinner followed by a live classical quartet recital on board.
