Your first stop is Palma de Mallorca, where a day of sightseeing can easily be mixed with some time by the sea. Take the family to see the impressive La Seu Cathedral, explore the circular Bellver Castle, or wander through Palma’s old town in search of an ice cream and a few local treats. If everyone would rather spend the day in the sunshine, Mallorca’s beaches offer an easy alternative before you head back to the ship.

Next, you’ll arrive in La Spezia, opening up the possibility of a family day trip into Tuscany. Florence is packed with sights older children may recognise, including the Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, and the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, while Pisa gives everyone the chance to see the Leaning Tower in person and take that essential family photo. There are plenty of opportunities to stop for pizza, pasta, and gelato along the way, too.

From there, you’ll sail to Civitavecchia for a day in Rome. Seeing the Colosseum in person is a great experience to share as a family, and you can continue to the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, and Piazza Navona. Between the big sights, stop for Roman-style pizza or gelato, and give everyone some time to enjoy the city at a more relaxed pace.

Back on board, Legend of the Seas keeps the family experience going between ports. There are seven pools, the Category 6 waterpark, Crown’s Edge, mini golf, family entertainment, and plenty of dining choices, giving everyone options throughout the day. You’ll stay together in a Balcony cabin, with your own private outdoor space and sea views, making it a comfortable family base for your week exploring the Med.
