The train journeys themselves are part of the experience, watching the landscape change from coastal views to olive groves and open countryside as you move between cities.

• A standout moment comes in Granada, where you can visit the Alhambra, set above the city with views across to the Sierra Nevada. Walking through its courtyards and gardens gives a real sense of the area’s history, before heading back down into the city to continue exploring.
