Your adventure begins in Cairo, where you’ll visit the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, two of Egypt’s best-known landmarks. You’ll also explore the Grand Egyptian Museum, home to an outstanding collection of Pharaonic treasures, before spending time in Old Cairo and browsing the shops and cafés of Khan el Khalili bazaar.

Next, you’ll travel to Luxor, often described as the world’s greatest open-air museum. Explore Karnak Temple, with its vast Hypostyle Hall and towering columns, before visiting Luxor Temple on the banks of the Nile. On the West Bank, the Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens reveal the richly decorated tombs built for Egypt’s pharaohs and royals.

From Luxor, your journey continues south to Aswan, stopping at the temples of Edfu and Kom Ombo along the way. You’ll also visit Abu Simbel, where four enormous statues of Ramesses II stand outside one of Egypt’s most impressive ancient temples. In Aswan, a traditional felucca sailing offers a peaceful change of pace, with views of the river, palm-lined banks, and small riverside villages.

Throughout the cruise, you’ll stay aboard Travelmarvel Sirius, a boutique river ship carrying up to 124 guests.
