Island hopping through the Mediterranean

Set sail on a 10-night Mediterranean adventure aboard Fred. Olsen's Balmoral, taking you from Spain's Costa Blanca to the historic streets of Athens. Along the way, you'll call at charming islands, dramatic coastal towns and fascinating ports including Ibiza, Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily, Malta and Crete. Travelling on a smaller ship means you'll enjoy a more relaxed pace and the chance to visit destinations that many larger cruise ships simply can't reach.

Your first stop is Ibiza, where there's much more to the island than its famous nightlife. Wander through the cobbled streets of Dalt Vila, the UNESCO-listed old town, browse independent boutiques and enjoy fresh seafood overlooking the marina before continuing to the peaceful harbour of Propriano in Corsica. Surrounded by rolling hills and crystal-clear bays, it's the perfect place to slow down with a glass of local wine and sample Corsican cheeses and cured meats.
Next you'll sail to the spectacular Amalfi Coast, one of Italy's most iconic stretches of coastline. Colourful buildings rise above the harbour, while narrow streets are filled with artisan ceramic shops, cafés and family-run restaurants serving homemade pasta, fresh seafood and the region's famous lemons. As you continue your journey, you'll pass the volcanic island of Stromboli before heading towards Sicily and beyond.
Later in the cruise you'll arrive in Valletta, Malta's elegant capital. Walk through streets lined with honey-coloured buildings, visit the impressive St John's Co-Cathedral or simply soak up the atmosphere from a waterside café. Your journey then continues to Souda Bay in Crete before ending in Piraeus, the gateway to Athens, where ancient landmarks such as the Acropolis provide a memorable finale to your Mediterranean holiday.
Throughout your cruise, Balmoral provides a welcoming place to unwind between ports. You'll stay in a comfortable Interior Cabin featuring twin or double beds, an en-suite bathroom, TV, tea and coffee-making facilities and plenty of storage space. Full board dining is included, along with drinks at lunch and dinner and gratuities, while the ship also offers a choice of restaurants, stylish lounges, live entertainment, swimming pools and spa facilities, making every day at sea just as enjoyable as the destinations themselves.
