Your journey begins in New Delhi, where a guided city tour takes you through the contrasting character of the capital. Travel by rickshaw through Old Delhi, see Humayun’s Tomb, and visit Raj Ghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. You’ll then continue to Agra, where the Taj Mahal provides one of the defining moments of the trip, with visits at both sunset and sunrise.

Next, you’ll travel to Jaipur, Rajasthan’s famous Pink City. Visit Amber Fort, explore the remarkable astronomical instruments at Jantar Mantar, and spend time browsing the city’s bazaars, which are known for jewellery, pottery, hand-printed textiles, and carpets. From Jaipur, you’ll fly to Kolkata and board the Ganges Voyager II for the river-cruise section of your journey.

As you sail along the Ganges, you’ll visit Kalna’s Rajbari temple complex, meet traditional brass artisans in Matiari, and travel by horse-drawn buggy to Murshidabad’s Katra Mosque and Hazarduari Palace. Further along the river, explore the Hare Krishna complex at Mayapur, see the French colonial architecture of Chandannagar, and finish in Kolkata with visits to the flower market, Kumartuli’s potters’ colony, and the Victoria Memorial.
