Your safari begins in the Amboseli ecosystem, where Porini Amboseli Camp sits within the private Selenkay Conservancy. With Mount Kilimanjaro providing an impressive backdrop, this is an excellent area for seeing large herds of elephant, alongside giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, and a wide variety of birdlife. Included day and night shared game drives let you experience the area at different times, from early-morning sightings to the nocturnal animals that emerge after sunset.
Next, you’ll travel to Porini Rhino Camp in Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a 90,000-acre wildlife sanctuary in the Laikipia region. The conservancy is known for its black and southern white rhinos, as well as its work protecting the world’s last two northern white rhinos. Included game drives bring you closer to the wildlife, while views towards Mount Kenya and the Aberdare Mountains add another dimension to your stay.
Your final destination is the Maasai Mara, where you’ll stay at Porini Lion Camp in the private Olare Motorogi Conservancy. This area is particularly well known for its lion and other big cat sightings, with open plains providing an ideal setting for game viewing. Included shared game drives continue here, alongside the opportunity to join a guided walk with Maasai warriors and enjoy a sundowner from one of the conservancy’s scenic viewpoints.
The accommodation on this trip is an important part of the experience too, with each Porini camp offering a small number of spacious guest tents, comfortable beds, private verandas, en-suite bathrooms, hot showers, and solar-powered lighting. Shared dining and lounge areas provide welcoming spaces to enjoy meals, drinks, and time between included day and night shared game drives. The camps’ small size also creates a more personal experience in the bush, with meals and sundowners enjoyed in traditional safari surroundings.
