Sicily gives the voyage a striking start, with Messina placing you within reach of Taormina’s clifftop streets, Mount Etna’s volcanic landscapes, and wide views across the Strait of Messina. Later in the cruise, Naples brings another classic Italian highlight, whether you choose to explore Pompeii, trace the curves of the Amalfi Coast, sail across to Capri, or stay in the city for historic streets, seafront views, and some of Italy’s most famous pizzerias.

The Greek ports add a lovely change of pace. From Katakolon, you can travel to Olympia, the birthplace of the ancient Olympic Games, while Corfu brings a gentler island mood with Venetian-style architecture, narrow lanes, beaches, and olive grove scenery. Together, they give the middle of the journey a mix of history, warm island character, and time to slow down between bigger sightseeing days.

Croatia and Montenegro bring the Adriatic into focus towards the end of the trip. Dubrovnik’s city walls, terracotta rooftops, and views over the sea make it one of the standout ports of the voyage, while Split offers an atmospheric old town built around Diocletian’s Palace. In Bar, Montenegro, the route becomes a little less expected, with coastal scenery, harbour views, and access to a destination that feels quieter than many of the Mediterranean’s better-known stops.
