Your journey begins in Porto, a city known for its colourful riverside buildings, historic streets, and famous Port wine. After setting sail, you’ll pass through the Douro Valley towards Pinhão, where terraced hillsides rise above the river. This is one of the highlights of the cruise, with a Portuguese cooking demonstration on board adding a taste of the region’s food traditions.

Next, you’ll travel from Vega de Terrón into Spain for a guided tour of Salamanca. The city’s UNESCO-listed old quarter is home to grand squares, medieval buildings, and the ornate Plaza Mayor. You’ll also enjoy a performance from a traditional Tuna music band, bringing a lively local touch to your time in the city.

Later, you’ll arrive in Pocinho before sailing towards Régua. Here, you can visit the Côa Valley Museum, learn how to make a Port wine cocktail on board, and enjoy dinner at Quinta da Pacheca, a rural wine estate surrounded by the Douro’s famous landscapes. The following day, you’ll visit Lamego, with the chance to see the Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary and its sweeping staircase.
