Your first stop is Olden, a small village surrounded by the mountains and waterways of Nordfjord. It’s a great base for seeing some of the area’s biggest natural sights, including the Briksdal Glacier, part of the wider Jostedalsbreen glacier system. You could also head to nearby Loen and ride the Loen Skylift to the top of Mount Hoven, where viewpoints look across Nordfjord and the surrounding mountains.

Next, you’ll arrive in Skjolden after sailing along Lustrafjorden, an arm of the vast Sognefjord. Sitting right at the end of the fjord, Skjolden is surrounded by mountains, waterfalls, and quiet countryside. It’s also well placed for exploring more of the region, including the UNESCO-listed Urnes Stave Church, one of Norway’s oldest surviving stave churches.

Your final Norwegian stop is Haugesund on the country’s southwest coast. Norway’s Viking history has strong connections with this part of the country, while the town itself has a relaxed waterfront lined with restaurants and cafés. You can stroll along Haraldsgata, explore the harbour area, or head beyond the centre to see landmarks such as Haraldshaugen, Norway’s national monument.
