Your journey begins in Sydney before heading north along Australia’s east coast towards Cairns, one of the gateways to the Great Barrier Reef. There are plenty of ways to experience this remarkable part of Queensland, from snorkelling and diving among coral reefs to taking a scenic trip out across the water. Back on land, Cairns has an easy-going waterfront, with the Esplanade, lagoon, cafés, and restaurants making it a great place to spend the rest of your day before returning to the ship.

Next, you’ll continue north to Darwin, where the tropical Top End offers a completely different side of Australia. The city has a relaxed waterfront and some excellent places to eat, including the popular Mindil Beach Sunset Market, where stalls serve everything from Asian street food to local seafood. Darwin is also a starting point for exploring the landscapes beyond the city, including waterfalls, swimming holes, and dramatic scenery in Litchfield National Park.

From Darwin, you’ll cross to Bali for an overnight stay in Benoa, giving you more time to experience the island. Head towards Ubud to visit temples, galleries, and the surrounding rice terraces, make your way to the famous sea temple of Tanah Lot, or spend your time sampling Indonesian favourites such as nasi campur, satay, and babi guling. With Marina remaining in port overnight, you can enjoy a longer day ashore and see more of Bali before the voyage continues towards Western Australia.
