Living mainly in Surrey, I also spend time in Beaujolais (near Lyon) and adore the fact that both are in the beautiful countryside, yet within easy reach of wonderful cities.
Travel has always been my passion. I started working in a major tour operator where, during 8 years, I learnt all about creating package holidays. Then I moved into the more demanding world of corporate events – constructing and delivering programmes on all continents with a much greater focus on outstanding service.
Over the past three decades my work has earned several national and European industry awards, but more importantly, it has provided invaluable experience of the art of travel (whether by air, sea, rail or road) and knowledge of an amazing range of countries, destinations and cultures.
With travel, the key is not learning how to get it right, but how to avoid getting it wrong!
The most rewarding aspect of my work has always been the reactions of participants after experiencing a programme that I helped to create.
Now I want to deliver similar experiences for individuals who want to avoid the hassle of high street travel shops, or endless online searching with little advice on what may or may not suit.
