My Hotel Visit of The Lindos Grande Resort & Spa & The Gennadi Grande Resort

In October 2025I spent six nights on the beautiful Greek island of Rhodes, splitting my time between two adults‑only resorts, spending three nights in each. It was the perfect way to really experience the hotels properly: sleep in the rooms, try the restaurants, dip into the spa and explore the local area, rather than just doing a quick site inspection.

I stayed in private pool suites at both properties, enjoyed cookery and spa experiences, and still had time to explore Lindos town and its famous Acropolis. Even in October the weather was wonderfully hot and sunny, which made it an ideal time to travel: warm enough for swimming and sunbathing, but with a more relaxed, end‑of‑season feel.

Both hotels came away with a big tick from me, but they each have a slightly different vibes .. Here is my first‑hand review.

Lindos Grand Resort & Spa: sleek adults‑only luxury near Lindos

My first three nights were spent at Lindos Grand Resort & Spa, a contemporary adults‑only hotel set on a hillside with sweeping sea views. It has a calm, grown‑up atmosphere from the moment you arrive: low‑rise buildings in natural tones, lots of glass, and vistas over the bay.

My suite with private pool

I stayed in a suite with a private pool, which is a real showstopper for couples and special occasions.

  • The suite itself felt spacious and modern, with an open‑plan bedroom and living area in soft, neutral colours.
  • The bathroom was stylish and practical, with a walk‑in shower and plenty of space for two people staying for a week.
  • The highlight was stepping straight out from the room to my own private pool and terrace, complete with sunbeds and gorgeous sea views.

It gave me that “villa with hotel services” feeling: total privacy when you want it, but with the convenience of restaurants, bars, housekeeping and a spa on the doorstep. For honeymoons, anniversaries or anyone looking to treat themselves, this room type is a fantastic option.

Cookery lesson: a taste of Rhodes

One of my favourite experiences at Lindos Grand was a cookery lesson. This was a lovely way to connect with local flavours and learn more about Greek cuisine.

  • We worked with fresh, local ingredients and traditional recipes.
  • The atmosphere was relaxed and fun, with time to ask questions and chat while we cooked.
  • Afterwards we sat down to enjoy the dishes we had prepared.

For clients who like to do more than just lie by the pool, I would absolutely recommend adding something like this to their stay. It turns a holiday into a story & I learnt how to put together a greek salad the greek way, how to make tzatziki dip and a mousaka!

Spa time and massage

I also visited the spa and enjoyed a massage treatment during my stay.

  • The spa has a very calm, cocooning atmosphere; as soon as you step inside, the rest of the resort seems to disappear.
  • My therapist was professional and attentive, and the massage felt properly relaxing rather than rushed.

For couples who enjoy a bit of pampering, this hotel works very well: a private pool suite paired with a spa treatment is pretty much the perfect chill‑out combination.

Dining at Lindos Grand: La Cucina & Thalatta

Food is a big part of any holiday, and I made sure to try two of the key restaurants on site:

  • La Cucina Ristorante Italiano
A stylish Italian restaurant offering classic dishes with a modern twist. Think fresh pasta, beautifully presented mains and a good choice of wines. It has a warm, romantic feel and is perfect for a relaxed evening together.
  • Thalatta Fine Dining Restaurant
This is the hotel’s fine dining option, and it delivers. The presentation, service and flavours all felt very polished, and it is exactly the kind of place I would recommend for a special night during a stay: birthdays, honeymoons or “first night of the holiday” celebrations.

Overall, Lindos Grand combines contemporary adults‑only luxury, private pool indulgence, and a strong food and spa offering. I would recommend it wholeheartedly for couples and friends celebrating something special or simply wanting a stylish, peaceful base near Lindos - this hotel out of the 2 I would say was much quietier and secluded feel with not so much evening entertainment.

Gennadi Grand Resort: junior suite with private pool and memorable degustation dining

After three nights at Lindos Grand, I moved on to Gennadi Grand Resort for the second part of my trip, staying here for another three nights. Again, this is an adults‑only style of experience with a very smart, design‑led look and a focus on good food and relaxation and I found this hotel on arrival to be very Green lots of plants and grenery and it maybe big but seemed smaller with its eco-friendly architechture and sustainable design.

Junior suite with private pool

At Gennadi Grand I stayed in a junior suite with a private pool.

  • The suite was beautifully designed, with a modern, minimalist feel and plenty of space.
  • Having the private pool again meant I could enjoy the sunshine in total privacy, with my own loungers and outdoor space directly off the room.

If your clients loved the sound of the private pool suite at Lindos Grand, the junior suites at Gennadi Grand are very much in the same category: perfect for couples looking for something a little special.

Relaxing by the pools

As well as the private pool attached to my suite, I also enjoyed the main pool areas within the resort. These are stylish, spacious and ideal for long, lazy days in the sun. Combined with the hot October weather, it made for a very relaxing few days: swimming, sunbathing and simply switching off.

Eδesma Fine Dining / Degustation Menu

One of the real highlights of my time at Gennadi Grand was being treated to the Eδesma Fine Dining / Degustation Menu.

  • This is a tasting menu experience, where you are taken on a journey through carefully crafted courses that showcase creativity and local influences.
  • Each dish was beautifully presented and thoughtfully paired, and the whole evening felt like a real “event” rather than just dinner.

For clients who enjoy fine dining and a bit of theatre with their food, I would strongly recommend this as a must‑do during their stay.

Dinner at στK Steakhouse – Grill Restaurant

I also dined at the στK Steakhouse – Grill Restaurant on site.

  • As the name suggests, this is the place for excellent grilled meats and steaks, cooked to perfection.
  • It has a more relaxed, indulgent feel and provides a nice contrast to the tasting menu at Eδesma.

Between Eδesma and στK, Gennadi Grand offers something for both the real foodies and those who simply want a seriously good steak on holiday.

The Buffett restaurant had great choices as well - and their is a lovely Gin Bar which I visited of course!  and also do some great cocktails! The spa here has many awards but I wasn't lucky to use the spa at this hotel but looked amazing!

Exploring Lindos: Acropolis, old town and October sunshine

Although I was based mainly at the hotels, I did make time to head into Lindos itself.

  • I visited the Acropolis of Lindos, which sits dramatically above the town with spectacular views down to the bays below. It is well worth the climb, especially in October when the temperatures are still hot but not at peak summer extremes.
  • I spent time wandering through the old town, with its narrow, winding paths, whitewashed buildings and beautiful little shops. There are plenty of places to pick up souvenirs, local products and handcrafted pieces.

The combination of hot October weather, fewer crowds and these historic sights made it a particularly special time to visit Rhodes. It is an excellent option for clients who prefer warmth and sunshine without the intensity of high summer.

My verdict: two highly recommended adults‑only escapes

Both Lindos Grand Resort & Spa and Gennadi Grand Resort  I would recommend for an adult only visit and perfect in October too..

  • If you want:
    • A sleek adults‑only resort near Lindos
    • suite with private pool
    • Experiences such as cookery lessons and spa treatments
    • Dining options like La Cucina and Thalatta Fine Dining

then Lindos Grand Resort & Spa is a superb choice.

  • If you are drawn to:
    • A design‑led resort with a relaxed, luxurious feel
    • junior suite with private pool
    • Long pool days combined with standout gastronomy
    • Special evenings with the Eδesma Fine Dining / Degustation Menu and στK Steakhouse – Grill Restaurant

then Gennadi Grand Resort will be a wonderful fit and from 2026 the Gennadi will be offering All Inclusive to the UK market

For clients who love Greece, enjoy good food and wine, and want that extra touch of indulgence from a private pool while still having plenty to see and do nearby, a twin‑centre stay like this on Rhodes in October is a fantastic idea or simply stay at one of these hotels too..
