Bucket List ticked - seeing the Magnificent Taj Mahal and Tigers !

India GateMagical and mysticalFinal night in GoaAlbert HallStunning !Leisurely beach strollCamel funSheraton DelhiMonkeys everywhere!Rick shaw readyPalace of windsCamel ridePainted elephantsStarting the tour in Delhi  - we had our 1st experience of the madness and mayhem of the City traffic - horns blowing , and cows casually strolling across in front of bikes/cars / buses and rickshaws!

We drove through the narrow streets not accessible by motor vehicles and saw all the major sights and stunning buildings such as India Gate

Next onto Agra for the breath-taking Taj Mahal. it was everything i expected it to be and more.  we all posed for "that" photo made famous by Lady Diana, and i was surprised to find we were allowed inside the building too. which was truly magnificent.  the art-work in ceramic is hard to describe.  we then were taken to a workshop where generations of families still work with hand made tools - sat on the floor  producing these beautiful gems

We then moved onto Ranthambore, and having had a presentation by a naturalist we didn't expect to see Tigers as the wrong time of year - but lady luck was shining and out she came - proper goose-bump moments!

Leaving the wilderness behind we headed back to the city of Jaipur. Not quite as mad as Delhi but still hectic. this time taking in more stunning buildings of the City Palace and Palace of winds

We were then treated to a special dinner hosted by the Rathore family.  The host being quite the entertainer and spoke with the most perfect English accent

India is certainly a country of sights sounds and experiences, not least with the animals.  you see Monkeys almost everywhere  - decorated Elephants strolling along and a cow on almost every corner !

You'll also experience many modes of transport we had a camel cart ride into a local village , Rickshaw in Delhi and Tuk Tuk  -where you literally close your eyes and pray!

After the hectic pace of the Golden Triangle we had a lovely 3 night beach stay in Stunning Goa - white sandy beaches , beautiful calm seas - just what the doctor ordered.
