Having the time of our life

Su Dillon on 09 Dec 2025

Over the past 8 years I've enjoyed escorted tours to Stunning South Africa, New York - Niagara and New England and last year Golden Triangle and Taj Mahal

If you fancy trying an escorted tour it really is a great way to experience a country with local expert guides and see things you might just miss going on your own

I've put some ideas together of where to look at going when :

March – April: Japan in Bloom

Cherry Blossom season (Sakura) reaches its peak from late March through April. Mild temperatures and clear skies make sightseeing even more enjoyable while the landscapes are transformed into soft pink wonderlands across Japan.

April: Dutch Tulip Season & Middle East Adventures

April is prime time for the iconic tulip fields in Netherlands, creating vibrant photo opportunities across the countryside.
It’s also the ideal weather window to explore the desert wonders of the Middle East — including the Pyramids of Giza, Petra, and Wadi Rum — before the intense summer heat arrives

May – June: USA National Parks at Their Best

Late spring is perfect for exploring the landscapes of the USA. National Parks are comfortable, colourful, and far less crowded before desert temperatures soar above 100°F. Expect blooming wildflowers, active wildlife, and excellent hiking conditions.

June – August: Classic USA Summer Escapes

Summer is peak season for enjoying the USA’s coastal hotspots — think great food scenes, beach resorts, and crystal-clear turquoise waters. Ideal for travellers who love sunshine, vibrant cities, and a lively holiday atmosphere.

June – September: Machu Picchu & The Andes

This is the dry season in the Andes, offering the safest trekking conditions and clearest mountain views when visiting the legendary Machu Picchu.

July – September: The Great Wildlife Spectacle

Mid-year is prime safari season in East Africa, when the famous Great Migration unfolds across the plains. It’s one of the most dramatic wildlife events on Earth — often described as the “Super Bowl” of animal viewing.

June – July: Norway’s Midnight Sun

Experience nearly 24 hours of daylight in Norway. The Midnight Sun allows you to hike, cruise fjords, and even chase waterfalls at 2:00 AM in golden evening light that never fades.

September – October: Italy’s Harvest Season

Autumn is magical in regions like Tuscany and Piedmont. It’s wine harvest and truffle season, the crowds thin, and the summer humidity gives way to warm, comfortable days — perfect for food and wine lovers.

October: Canada’s Spectacular Fall Colours

Leaf-peeping in Quebec and Ontario is truly world-class in October, with blazing reds, oranges, and golds transforming forests and lakes into postcard scenery.

September – October: Australia & Vietnam

September marks the end of the dry season in Australia’s Northern Territory, making it ideal to explore Uluru and Darwin without the monsoon heat.
Meanwhile, Northern Vietnam — including Hanoi and Sapa — enters a cooler, dry season with spectacular bright green rice terraces.

 December: Costa Rica’s Perfect Season

The dry season begins in December, bringing sunshine and ideal conditions for rainforest canopy tours, wildlife spotting, and relaxing on pristine beaches across Costa Rica.

December: Europe’s Magical Christmas Markets

For the ultimate festive atmosphere, the Christmas markets in Switzerland, Austria, and Germany are unbeatable — twinkling lights, mulled wine, handcrafted gifts, and storybook town squares.
