I'm Zara and I'm based in Whitfield on the outskirts of Dover.
I'm proud to have taken the leap and followed my dreams to join the Travel Counsellors family. I love being able to get to know my clients personally and send them all across the world, fulfilling bucket list dreams give you the best feeling, both as a client and as a Travel Counsellor! I have experience in many destinations, but if I don't know the answer, I have a whole community filled with knowledgeable colleagues who I can call upon.
My years in the industry have taken me to some incredible destinations and given me some bucket list experiences. Having started my travel career back in 2006 on the high street at a well-known travel agency, there's not much that phases me in my job, whether it's ash clouds and other elements of mother nature, company collapses, presidential visits, or pandemics, I've lived through it all. Whilst this all sounds unnerving, during each of these challenges, my clients have always taken priority to make sure they are well looked after regardless of the situation.
I'm with you every step of the way, I'm your contact from the first time we speak right the way through to when you arrive back home. No lengthy call waits or having to tell your story to another agent. It'll always be me you get.
Our MyTC app is your travel guru in your pocket. With your documents held securely and live flight updates, you won't want to leave home without it.
How does booking with me work? After an initial phone call to get to know your holiday likes and dislikes , I will typically send you a link to the MyTC app. I’ll then go away and work on creating your perfect holiday, these options will be loaded onto the app for you to view. From there, I will follow up with you to go over any questions or concerns you have. Once the deposit is paid, you can then sit back, relax and countdown to your holiday. The only thing for you to worry about is what to pack and getting to the airport. Everything else is left to me.
I can help with all types of travel, from your annual family holiday to a romantic escape, from a UK retreat to just flight only. With a wealth of suppliers at my fingertips, I know I can find the right holiday for you. I specialise in Canada and Alaska, but also have a love for all things America, Caribbean, Indian Ocean, Middle East, Europe and Cruise.

Went to Zara after seeing posts on Facebook etc. Gave her a list of the things I was thinking of and she gave me recommendations and advice to avoid due to time of year/weather etc. She already had some ideas and came back to me with several different options that met all of my criteria. When I decided which location she sent me the details for payment etc. I made this payment on a Saturday evening and within 30 minutes of making it Zara had messaged me saying my booking had been made. That is exceptional service which you wouldn’t get at a travel agent!

We have just returned from a fantastic time in the Maldives having booked our holiday through Zara.We had a turbulent time having to cancel and rebook a couple of times because of the travel restrictions.Zara kept us updated, which also included changing flights, destinations and hotels to suit our needs.We ended up going on a last minute dream holiday with Zara making amendments as quick as a flash.Not the customer service you would get with a big company tour operator.We have since booked with Zara again and would recommend her to our family and friends!.Thanks for the best holiday Zara!

I have just returned from a holiday in Portugal and was quite nervous because of the Covid situation but Zara held my hand the whole way. She gave advice and guidance about the tests and forms that were needed. Her expertise and knowledge is amazing so I felt really safe knowing she was there to turn to about any issue at all. Nothing is ever too much trouble and she's so patient with you.
Zara kept in touch to check that my journey was going as planned and that I had arrived safely, she really cares and looks after you. I was recommended by a friend to use Zara and I am so grateful that I acted on my friend's recommendation.

Zara organised a large holiday home for us. She came back with lots of different options and the house we finally decided it was beautiful in the perfect location. I had the pleasure of Zara's assistance when booking a holiday for 2022
Myself and my partner are heading to Paphos in Cyprus for a friend's wedding.
Zara remained professional throughout the booking.
She was able to send detailed quotes and was very informative of the area,the hotel and the prices of all the deals available.
Her communication was superb and she was able to keep me upto date when a new offer appeared or any price changes occured.
She added her personal touch which was lovely and sent her business card and a thankyou card to me after booking.
I felt I received first class treatment during the booking process and even after the holiday was booked, Zara checked I had received all the correct information via email and I understood how to use the app.
I would definitely recommend Zara and Travel Counsellors to anyone planning a getaway be it abroad or in the UK.

We had booked a holiday through Zara to go to Sardinia. Her help in choosing a fabulous hotel in a perfect location was invaluable and saved me hours and hours of trawling the internet and through brochures. We were presented with a shortlist of 3 and all three ticked the required boxes showing that Zara listened and understood what we were looking for on our holiday. You receive an on line profile quotation with all the relevant details clearly displayed including flight timings, links to the hotels, special requests etc. Once booked you then receive a personalised document wallet with everything you need for your trip - even luggage labels!
Using Zara to book holidays has given us peace of mind which reaped the benefit this year. We were due to travel to Sardinia in June. Lockdown came into force and before I had even thought about the impact on our holiday Zara had taken all the necessary steps to cancel our trip and safeguard our monies.
We’ve now booked a UK trip for later this year through Zara for the same reasons. She gives the time (and patience!) to help me get exactly what I want and doesn’t mind how many times I say “ it’s close but not quite what I want....”. I’ve also used Zara for advice on flights booked direct and she has been extremely helpful. I can not recommend her highly enough and look forward to a time when I can resume my more extensive travels - booked through Zara of course!

I don’t even know where to start!
This lady has been incredible! We booked a short break with Zara to Alicante. However as I’m sure you’ve all seen, the latest announcement last night meant no travel to mainland Spain.
Before I could even message Zara when there was lots of media on the subject and nothing confirmed she had messaged me saying she’s aware of the situation and as soon as any official advice is given she will then let me know what we can do.
I was so worried we would lose our money, not be able to go because of not quarantining.
Anyhow less that 14 hours later to today. We’ve been rebooked to a completely different destination away from Spain. I’ve not had to make a single phone call. Just messages basically on decisions of where we would prefer to go instead!! Her organisation is outstanding!! Zara is on point with everything!
Even down to the emails with all the links for the necessary Covid 19 forms and boarding passes have been text through.
So I’ve had this all dealt with today! Whilst everybody else will be contacting holiday companies tomorrow being in queues on the phone and not even getting half the service we have received!!
I cannot thank you enough Zara and I will always support your small business in the future!
