The trip began at with a stay at a lodge, deep in the Amazon and reached by river. Here, the family swapped everyday life for the sounds and scenery of the rainforest, surrounded by jungle, water and wildlife. It felt like a true escape into nature.

From there they flew to Fernando de Noronha and checked into a local pousada. Days were slower and more relaxed, with time on beautiful beaches, swimming in clear waters and enjoying the laid‑back island atmosphere.

Next came Rio de Janeiro for some city buzz and beach time. They stayed by the coast to enjoy the famous sands, and I arranged time for the classic highlights, including Sugar Loaf, so they could take in those iconic views over the city.

To finish, they travelled on to the Pantanal, adding another side of Brazil to their journey with open landscapes and rich wildlife. During the trip they were incredibly lucky, managing to see two jaguars in the wild, a genuine once‑in‑a‑lifetime moment for the whole family.

What made this holiday so special was the mix: rainforest, islands, an iconic city and unforgettable wildlife, all in one carefully balanced itinerary. It was tailored completely around this family, and it is still one of my favourite Brazilian adventures I have put together.
