You had me at Bonjour

I had almost forgotten how much I love Paris , it has been 8 years since I was last in this beautiful city.

For my stay in Paris I turned to one of my favourite hotel suppliers, Mr & Mrs Smith. I love their range of unique luxury properties. Mob House, an eco-aware Parisian pad in up-and-coming Saint Ouen that is at once utilitarian and very luxe… and we're delighted to report, it works. Every detail has been pored over: artisanal French tiles, sweeps of marble juxtaposed with concrete, rice-straw headboards, parquet floors (natch) and wall paint mixed from straw and clay. Digital nomads will adore the live/work model at play here, with bedrooms concealed by stylish drapes, work areas and fully functional meeting spaces inside the next-gen industrial suites.

Seriously Cool and unique hotel, Urban Chic vibes, with exposed metal piping. The hotel also offers a pool during the summer months.

During my stay I was also invited to a new 5* hotel, the latest property launched by the Leitmotiv hotel group, La Fantaisie. Inspired by the natural world, La Fantaisie with its large, landscaped garden promises a unique experience. Conceived as individual havens of peace, the 73 rooms and suites as well as the spa and various bathing facilities provide a total disconnection from the hustle and bustle of the urban environment outside. The restaurant and café resemble a hidden paradise where pleasure and joie de vivre rule. Enjoyment is also at its peak at the rooftop bar: surrounded by greenery, the space opens out onto the legendary zinc roofs of Paris, offering a privileged view.

Now for the bit that blew my mind …. The FOOD , one of the most amazing meals I have ever eaten, relaxed fine dining at it’s best. With a big open kitchen, a bar has been built along the pass, which is exactly where we sat , best seat in the house, watching these artistic chefs at work.

Another huge bonus for this property is that the nearest Metro station is a mere 300 meters away.

For my final night in the city, we had booked some tickets to go to see the world famous Moulin Rouge. Every evening a whirlwind of feathers, sequins and rhinestones blows through the Moulin Rouge, the emblematic Parisian cabaret, as the great revue show “Féerie” takes the stage in four spectacular acts. From the sleepy gardens of the Moulin, to the decks of a pirate ship in Indonesia, to encounters with a travelling circus, before returning with the troupe to a touch of Parisian nostalgia from 1900 to today…The Moulin Rouge takes us on a journey through an enchanting universe during a lovely evening with family, friends or a romantic tête-à-tête.

The thing with Paris is, I think you fall in love a little more with each visit.
