Ibiza for low-key partying: San Antonio Bay, sunset rituals and live music days!
Ibiza needs little introduction. This sun drenched Balearic island has earned its place as Europe’s clubbing capital, where golden beaches, world class DJs and legendary sunsets come together in one irresistible package. If you are looking for a holiday that combines more low-key nights out with laid back days and those unforgettable “this is the life” moments, San Antonio Bay is the perfect base. I have been to Ibiza a few times and have stayed in various resorts over the island. My more recent stay in San Antonio Bay, on the west coast of Ibiza, was one of my favourites!
We stayed for 7 nights at the Azuline Mar Amantis 1 Hotel on all inclusive basis. We chose this hotel as it is in an excellent location right on the seafront in San Antonio Bay close to everything but far enough away from San Antonio for a more relaxing stay. The water taxi stop for trips to San Antonio is right at the hotel or you can take a 25 minute walk along the bay. I have stayed at this hotel and would definitely stay here again. The all inclusive food and drinks were brilliant, especially for a 3* hotel!

San Antonio Bay itself has a good selection of restaurants, bars and shops and some hotels have more of a chilled daytime feel. You can wander down to the promenade for a coffee by the water, then stroll along the bay’s string of sandy coves. The sea is typically calm and inviting, ideal for swimming and paddleboarding. In the evenings, stay local of enjoy a stroll around the bay for San Antonio’s marina, more cosmopolitan restaurants and bars and clubs.

Boat Parties: These are popular in Ibiza because they combine open-water views with an atmosphere that distinctively matches the island's legendary nightlife culture. Some offer swim-stops and lunch and drinks onboard. You can often buy bundle tickets for boat parties and free or discounted entrance to some of the major superclubs on the island.

Nightclubs …. If you want them!: Ibiza has long been the clubbing capital of the Mediterranean, attracting the world’s top DJs and party lovers every summer. Major nightclubs in San Antonio are Eden and Es Paradis and O Beach Ibiza and Ibiza Rocks for pool parties. Head further out for Amnesia and Pacha or try some of the newest superclubs in Playa d’en Bossa including Ushuaia Ibiza for unmissable open-air parties with big name DJ’s including Calvin Harris and David Guetta, Hi Ibiza with multiple rooms and immersive light shows.

We had an amazing day at Ibiza Rocks! We booked a day bed on the stage for a special occasion and had a day full of live DJs, special guests and performers, dancers and confetti moments and lots of drinks and food at our bed! We also spent an evening in Playa d’en Bossa for drinks on the rooftop of the Ushuaia Tower which has views over the Ushuaia club stage …. Brilliant if you want to take a look a the concert without paying for the entry!

unset Magic at Café Mambo & Café del Mar: No Ibiza party holiday is complete without at least one sunset at Café Mambo. Perched on the famous Sunset Strip in San Antonio, this iconic spot turns the simple act of watching the sun go down into a nightly ritual. Arrive in late afternoon to secure a front‑row seat on the terrace to watch the sky to change to flaming oranges and pinks whilst the DJ slowly builds the soundtrack, mixing chilled Balearic beats with classic anthems. You can book a table at Café Mambo or buy your own drinks and sit on the beach with 100’s of other people to watch the sun set.

A San Antonio Bay party break is ideal if you: want easy access to big nights out without staying in the very heart of the club scene, love the idea of iconic experiences like Café Mambo sunsets, prefer a holiday that mixes buzzing party days with lazy beach time and relaxed resort comforts or are travelling with friends or as a couple and want that classic “we did Ibiza properly” feeling.
With the right hotel and a little planning, you can create a trip that hits all the high notes: legendary sunsets, huge pool parties and just enough downtime to enjoy Ibiza’s softer side too.
Let me know if I can help with an Ibiza holiday!
