It's Nice To Meet You

It’s Nice to Meet You

Hello there!
I'm Charlotte, your local travel advisor in the quaint village of Holt, nestled between Bradford-on-Avon and Melksham in Wiltshire.
My passion for travel blossomed early on, from childhood getaways to exploring new places with friends. After starting my career in 2001 at a travel agency, I've since worked with luxury brands, airlines, and high-end corporate clients.
Along the way, I've explored extensively - from the tropical beaches of Asia to the historic sites of Europe. A volunteering stint in India redirected me to work with animals for a few years, before the travel bug bit once more.
Now, I combine my decades of industry experience with insider knowledge to design deeply personal, transformative trips for discerning travellers like you. Whether you seek a family vacation, romantic honeymoon, or an off-the-beaten-path adventure, I'm here to listen and bring your travel dreams to life.
My goal is to craft unforgettable journeys that immerse you in the incredible beauty, cultures, and wonders of our world. I look forward to getting to know you and planning your next memorable trip!
Let’s talk soon, Charlotte

2025 travel trends you need to know about

12 December 2024

From cowboy adventures to stargazing wonders, 2025 is set to be the year of unique travel experiences. If you’re curious about what the biggest travel trends will be over the next 12 months, keep reading for our predictions and how you can get in on the best trends early, with the help of your Travel Counsellor. 2025 travel trends you need to know about Experience the wild west with cowboy core adventures Picture this: vast open plains, rugged mountains, and the sound of hooves as you ride into the sunset. Welcome to ‘Cowboy Core’, a travel trend that's all about tapping into your inner cowboy or cowgirl. Inspired by the resurgence of TV westerns and the ever-growing popularity of country music, Cowboy Core is taking over as one of the hottest travel trends of 2025. The United States is home to some of the most iconic cowboy destinations, with Montana and Wyoming being some of our top picks for those seeking an authentic ranch experience. Here, you can immerse yourself in the cowboy lifestyle, learning to ride horses and cook over an open fire. You might even find yourself staying at a working ranch, where you can participate in day-to-day activities and enjoy the camaraderie of the ranch hands. Unplug and rejuvenate with a reset retreat In today's fast-paced world, it's essential to take a step back and focus on your well-being. That's where ‘Reset Retreats’ come in. These travel experiences are designed to help you unplug, recharge, and rejuvenate, making them a perfect fit for those seeking a healthier, more mindful lifestyle in 2025. Whether it's yoga and meditation, hiking through serene landscapes, or indulging in spa treatments, these retreats provide an escape from everyday life. Bali is renowned for its lush landscapes and world-class wellness centres, making it a top destination for those seeking a holistic experience. Closer to home, the Sea Breeze Beach Resort Santorini offers a peaceful sanctuary where you can immerse yourself in nature and enjoy a slower pace of life. Unlock hidden stories whilst exploring with experts There's no better way to truly understand a destination than by experiencing it through the eyes of a local. We’re seeing an increase in getaways that include guided tours led by knowledgeable locals who can offer insider insights and stories that might otherwise go untold, and this trend is only set to increase in 2025. Guided tours provide a deeper connection to the places you visit. When led by passionate and informed guides, these tours offer a unique perspective on the culture, history, and traditions of a destination. Whether it's a walking tour through ancient ruins or a culinary adventure sampling local delicacies, guided experiences add depth and context to your travels. Reach for the stars with astrological adventures 2025 is set to be an incredible year for astro-tourism, with several major celestial events on the horizon. ‘Astrological Adventures’ invite travellers to explore the wonders of the night sky, from total solar eclipses to the mesmerising Northern Lights. For those searching for the Northern Lights, North Iceland and Tromsø in Norway are top destinations, known for their stunning displays of the auroras. In 2025, there will be four major eclipses, with prime viewing locations including parts of North America and Europe and even some cruise lines like Holland America offering front row seats from a ship in the middle of the ocean. When planning an astrological adventure, timing is everything. Ask your Travel Counsellor for the dates and locations of celestial events well in advance to secure the best viewing spots.

We can happily recommend Charlotte Daines Travel Counsellor. After carefully discussing our requirements and narrowing down the options, she has carefully arranged and booked a multi-centre holiday for us, including flights, trains, hotels and transfers - then also found us an excellent 'last-minute' bargain so we can enjoy some winter warmth in sunnier climes.

Amazing service

I have already recommended Charlotte to people for their future travel plans, and I plan to work with her on future adventure plans. It took away all of my concerns and worries about where to go and what to do. Charlotte listens closely, cares about what people want from their travels and understands what might be holding them back (in my case it was a lack of confidence to travel afar post Lockdowns). Charlotte was easy to stay in contact with throughout the whole process, and is clearly very dedicated to her clients. And passionate about what she does. A breath of fresh air!

We have just returned from a holiday that was arranged for us by Charlotte Daines Travel Counsellor The arrangements and attention to detail by Charlotte were faultless and made a 'good' holiday into a 'great' holiday - thank you so much! All the travel arrangements worked seamlessly, including the personal transfers to and from airport and hotel. Our hotel room was exactly what we asked for (Charlotte even 'phoned the hotel for confirmation on the day before we arrived). The hotel staff were great and the quality and choice of food exceeded our expectations, as did the value of the overall holiday package. In summary, I would encourage anyone who is thinking about booking a holiday to speak to Charlotte - the combination of choice, quality, cost and personal service is fantastic
