Disneyland Paris: A Magical Escape Filled with New Worlds, Iconic Rides and Princess Moments

Disneyland Paris Adventure

There is something uniquely exciting about boarding the Eurostar, knowing that in just a few hours you will step into a world of Disney magic. My recent trip to Disneyland Paris was exactly that: three days of immersive theming, new openings, hotel discoveries, and classic attractions, all wrapped up in that unmistakeable Disney atmosphere.

Day 1: Arrival & Evening Magic

Our journey began with an easy Eurostar trip to Paris, followed by a coach transfer straight to Disneyland Paris. There is a real sense of anticipation as you arrive: the moment you see the signs, hear the music, and catch that first glimpse of the parks, you know you have officially left the everyday behind.

After settling in, the highlight of the evening was the Cascade of Lights in Adventureland. This spectacular display of colour and light was so mesmerising that I ended up filming a 14 minute video, completely absorbed in the atmosphere. It was the perfect introduction to the resort: theatrical, beautiful, and just a little bit magical.

Day 2: Mickey Waffles, Hotel Discoveries & The World of Frozen

You cannot start a Disney day on an empty stomach, so breakfast naturally began with an iconic treat: Mickey waffles with maple syrup. Simple, fun, and an instant reminder that you are somewhere special.

The morning was dedicated to exploring some of the fantastic offsite hotels that offer excellent value and easy access to the parks. Each option suits a slightly different style of trip:

  • Explorers Hotel: Ideal for families who love themed spaces and activities. Think playful décor and facilities that keep little ones entertained beyond the parks.
  • Staycity Aparthotels: Perfect if you prefer apartment style accommodation, with the flexibility of extra space and the option for a more independent stay, while still being close to the Disney action.
  • B&B Hotel: A great choice for those who want a budget friendly base without compromising on convenience, freeing up more budget for those all important park experiences and treats.

After the hotel visits, it was time for the part I had been most excited about exploring the brand new World of Frozen.

This gorgeous new land truly brings Arendelle to life. From the moment you walk in, you are surrounded by beautiful Nordic inspired scenery, richly detailed theming, and a real sense of place. The shops and restaurants blend so naturally into the setting that you feel as if you are wandering through the village itself.

The star attraction is Frozen Ever After, a magical boat journey through the kingdom filled with favourite characters and beloved songs from the films. The combination of music, storytelling and visuals is genuinely heartwarming and immersive. And yes, we even got to meet Sven!

No Disney day would be complete without ticking off some classics too, and we certainly made the most of it:

  • Ratatouille: The Adventure: A wonderfully clever attraction that shrinks you down to Remy’s size and whisks you through the hustle and bustle of a Parisian kitchen.
  • Pirates of the Caribbean: Atmospheric, detailed, and timeless, still one of the most iconic rides in the park.
  • The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror: For thrill seekers who love a dramatic storyline and a serious drop or two.
  • Peter Pan’s Flight: A nostalgic must do, gliding in your pirate ship over London and Neverland.
  • Avengers Assemble: Flight Force: High energy, fast paced and perfect for Marvel fans looking to join the action.

To round off a packed day, we refuelled at Stark Factory in Avengers Campus. Surrounded by superhero details and Marvel touches, it feels like you have stepped right into a working Avengers base. It was the ideal way to end a day of hotel inspections, new experiences, and favourite attractions, all tied together with that unmistakable Disney storytelling.

Day 3: Disney Hotels, Princess Dining & Nighttime Spectacular

Our final full day was all about discovering the Disney hotels themselves and soaking up as much park time as possible.

We visited a selection of on site hotels, each with its own distinct character:

  • Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel: Sleek, contemporary, and stylish, this hotel blends New York sophistication with a curated gallery of Marvel artwork. It feels like a chic city break layered with superhero storytelling.
  • Disney Newport Bay Club: A charming lakeside retreat with a nautical New England feel, perfect if you love a classic, elegant atmosphere with that gentle seaside resort vibe.
  • Disney Hotel Cheyenne (our hotel): A fun Wild West themed property, full of character and charm. It is ideal for families and anyone who loves immersive theming that begins the moment you step outside your door.
  • Disneyland Hotel: An iconic, fairytale style address that epitomises Disney magic. With its elegant design and unbeatable location right at the entrance to Disneyland Park, it feels like the ultimate treat for a special occasion.

Of course, we also headed back into the parks to experience more of the attractions that make Disneyland Paris so unforgettable:

  • Big Thunder Mountain: A runaway mine train coaster that delivers thrills, stunning views, and brilliant theming in equal measure.
  • Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril: A high speed adventure for those who like their rides with an archaeological twist and a good burst of adrenaline.
  • Peter Pan’s Flight (yes, again): Because some rides are simply too magical to do only once.

The evening was a real highlight and a fitting finale to the trip. Dinner was at The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge, which offers a beautiful outlook over the Frozen themed mountain. The restaurant experience is carefully themed, with each course inspired by a different Disney Princess. The attention to detail is incredible, from the presentation of the dishes to the storytelling woven into the whole evening.

Princess meet and greets added to the enchanting atmosphere, making it a truly special experience for guests of all ages. Whether you are travelling with children or simply a lifelong Disney fan, it feels wonderfully indulgent and memorable.

To close out the day, we watched the spectacular Disney Happily Ever After nighttime show. The combination of castle projections, music, drones, and fireworks creates an emotional, visually stunning finale that lights up the sky and leaves you with that classic Disney lump in your throat. It is one of those moments where the entire day, and indeed the whole trip, seems to come together in a perfect crescendo of colour and sound.

A Few Takeaways from This Disney Escape

Over three days, we experienced a brilliant mix of practical hotel insights and pure holiday magic:
