Porto City Break

Porto really has so much to everyone, from the jaw dropping architecture to one of the best sunsets over the Douro, endless wineries and no visit to Porto would be complete without crossing over the river to Gaia to spend a few hours learning about you guessed it Port! Stepping inside the dimly lit cellars the air thick with history and the rich smell of aging Port.... A few hours well spent, & highly recommended!

Stepping back outside into the beautiful sunshine we walked through the cobbles streets stopping to view the famous Half Rabbit sculpture following onto the cable car to take in the spectacular views over the Douro and not to mention a well earned quick rest.... Reaching the top of the cable car stop giving you easy access to walk across the famous Dom Luis I Bridge. I can also recommenced the cable car at sunset where city breakers gather, buskers keeping us entertained and watching the sunset with a Port cocktail was just perfect!

Back into Porto and taking in the beauty of the Cathedral and Bishops Palace is well worth adding to you list. Then onto the "famous" Porto sign.

We ended our trip with a Sunset cruise and it really was the perfect ending, crossing under the 6 bridges Porto is famous for whilst witnessing the spectacular sunset for the final time.
