I am Gretchen, your independent Travel Counsellor, and I have been in the travel industry for over 20 years. During that time I have worked in business travel, tour operating and now leisure travel, which means I bring a wealth of knowledge, contacts and experience to every holiday I create. My greatest joy is helping my clients get the very most out of their time away and turning their trips into memories they will talk about for years.
I spent the first 21 years of my life in South Africa, so the country is incredibly close to my heart. I know first-hand how special it is, from its wildlife and wine regions to its vibrant cities and dramatic coastlines, and I absolutely love designing holidays that show my clients the very best of this amazing destination.
I have also worked for a Caribbean specialist and have been lucky enough to visit a number of islands, returning whenever I can. Warm turquoise seas are a big part of my own travels. As a qualified Advanced Open Water diver, many of my trips now include time underwater, including a memorable experience diving with tiger sharks in the Maldives. Away from the oceans, I am equally drawn to countries with rich histories and breath-taking landscapes. Peru, with its culture, cuisine and spectacular scenery, is one of the most fascinating places I have visited.
I work from home, which means I can be flexible around you and we can connect at a time that genuinely suits your schedule.
