During your stop in Amritsar, you’ll soak in the sight of the glittering temple by night, enjoying an evening palki ceremony there, watching the Sikh holy book being carried in a gilded palanquin from the temple’s main sanctum into the Akal Takht inner chamber to rest for the night, accompanied by bugles and devotional singing.

As if all that wasn’t magical enough, you’ll ride the UNESCO-listed Toy Train via lush green valleys, rugged mountains, waterfalls, and pine forests, to the hill town of Shimla with its rich colonial history. You’ll finish up in Delhi, with time to see its epic sights from a cycle rickshaw ride.
