The Maldives is famous for its diving and there are some very special sites in the waters at Olhuveli, including the Kuda Giri shipwreck where glassfish swirl around the captain’s hut and machine room, and Kandooma Thila where you can catch glimpses of white tip and grey reef sharks, green turtles, and eagle rays. But you don’t need to be a diver or seasoned snorkeller to see rays at Olhuveli; you can watch groups of mantas feasting on their plankton dinner every night from the jetty.
