Travel Counsellors take to the Canadian slopes

An introduction to Club Med Quebec Charlevoix

Set amongst the breathtaking St. Lawrence River and the majestic mountains of Quebec, Club Med Quebec Charlevoix is Canada’s first all-inclusive ski resort. This unique property offers access to over 50 runs for skiers of all levels, combined with exceptional facilities and dining options. Whether you're an accomplished skier or a total beginner, Club Med Quebec Charlevoix caters to everyone with its expert-led ski lessons, off-piste activities, and luxurious facilities.

Arrival and welcome festivities

The adventure began with a warm welcome by the Club Med team, setting the tone for an unforgettable stay. Guests were treated to a private cocktail hour and a traditional fondue dinner, accompanied by live acoustic music. This warm and intimate start brought everyone together and set the perfect mood for the exciting days ahead.

Fun-filled days on the slopes

Imagine carving fresh tracks through pristine snow, surrounded by majestic mountain views. Each morning started with expert-led ski, snowshoeing, or hiking classes, tailored for various skill levels. After an exhilarating session on the slopes, the group basked in the après-ski vibes, followed by lunch at the resort’s main restaurant.

One of our Travel Counsellors, Mandy, had this to say about the skiing experience:

"Honestly, it was one of my favourite trips. There’s something magical about skiing to your heart’s content in what has to be one of the most idyllic locations. The slopes cater to everyone, from beginners to seasoned skiers."

Optional excursions for non-skiers

For those who prefer alternatives to skiing, Club Med Charlevoix goes above and beyond. One of the highlights of the trip was dog sledding through the snowy forests, an experience that left everyone beaming. Another memorable moment was horse riding in the snow, offering a slower paced yet equally magical way to explore Quebec's wintry charm.

Travel Counsellor Kelly loved her experience:

"I’m so glad I went on this trip. Between trying (and failing) to ski, husky sledding, and horse riding, it was non-stop fun for everyone. And the views of the mountains and the St Lawrence River? Just breathtaking!"

Evening entertainment

This trip wasn’t just about the daytime adventures though; the evenings were brimming with entertainment and camaraderie. From drinks at the Club Med bar to a night out in the quaint town of Baie St Paul, our Travel Counsellors returned with plenty of stories and laughter. "Nothing can really top filling a tiny karaoke bar in a little Canadian town and having the best night with a fantastic group of people," recalls Mandy.

The group ended their trip with a grand celebration dinner at Camp Boule, where they feasted on a delectable four-course meal, chatted about their adventures, and soaked up the incredible hospitality. It was the perfect way to reflect on the memories made.

Why Albania needs to be on your travel wish list

03 August 2026

Albania has all the ingredients of a classic European escape, with clear Ionian waters, historic towns, mountain scenery, and long, leisurely meals, but it still feels refreshingly different from its better-known neighbours. One trip can take you from Tirana’s colourful streets to centuries-old hilltop fortresses, quiet coastal coves, and walking trails in the Albanian Alps. Its compact size makes it possible to see several sides of the country in one holiday, while family-run guesthouses, small restaurants, and local guides give each stop plenty of personality.
