Festive Reflections 2025

Kaye Dunbar on 31 Dec 2025

I hope this message finds you are well, and you have had a lovely Christmas and are enjoying a few days downtime before the new year. I spent a few nice quiet days at home with family, and am now back at my desk ready for the busy holiday booking period in January. I would like to say a huge THANK YOU for your support and business over the past 12 months, every booking, enquiry, testimonial/review and referral has been really appreciated! Your Travel Lady - Kaye

THANK YOU once again for your continued support in 2025. Your trust, business, and referrals mean the world. It's been another bumper year for me with over £1 million of holidays booked, I celebrated 12 years as a Travel Counsellor and 25 years in the industry!!

My travel highlight this year was of course my trip to Sri Lanka. I had the pleasure of touring the country with a wonderful driver and guide, building relationships with suppliers and hotel partners. Sri Lanka is one of my top selling destinations and has so much to offer; history, wildlife, great food and beautiful scenery! This ties in well with the trend for adventure and touring travel, which is set to continue in to 2026

Leisure travel in 2026 is being shaped by a clear shift toward experience driven exploration, with travelers prioritizing meaningful cultural immersion, off‑peak “anti‑tourist” itineraries, and wellness‑focused escapes. Reports highlight growing interest in authentic, local‑first travel as people avoid overcrowded destinations and seek deeper connections with the places they visit. Forecasts also point to rising demand for mind‑body retreats and digital‑detox getaways, along with adventurous options like VR‑enhanced theme parks and unconventional “chronocation” trips that blend novelty with personal growth. Together, these trends suggest that 2026 leisure travel will be more intentional, immersive, and creatively tailored than ever - Your precious holiday time, should always be tailored to your needs and preferences.

January is the perfect moment to get your next adventures in the diary. Plan ahead to secure better fares and more choice. If you’re flexible on destination, decide which parts of your trip matter most, setting some priorities and think in terms of the experiences you want—whether that’s wildlife, food, history, or a personal passion. Then have a great conversation with Your Travel Lady to find the options that fit you best!

I am looking forward to an exciting new year, planning wonderful adventures for my clients. Don't forget my business growth relies on your repeat business as well as your referrals and recommendations, so when the conversation turns to holidays - think of me and please do give me a mention, I always appreciate it. It is truly a joy to be a part of your travel journeys and experiences, here's to new adventures, new memories and new places to love in 2026

Wishing you a happy and healthy New Year, from Your Travel Lady
