After spending the night, you’ll leave Barcelona and have a day at sea to settle into life on board before arriving in Tuscany. From here, you can spend the day exploring the Cinque Terre’s colourful fishing villages, where pastel buildings cling to the cliffs above the Ligurian coast, and long lunches stretch well into the afternoon. If you’d rather head inland, Florence and Pisa are both within reach, offering everything from lively piazzas to traditional Tuscan restaurants serving handmade pasta and local wine.

The following day brings you to Rome, where the atmosphere shifts completely. One moment you’re standing beneath the arches of the Colosseum, the next you’re wandering narrow backstreets lined with espresso bars, family-run trattorias, and tiny gelaterias tucked between centuries-old buildings. It’s a busy but rewarding day, especially if you want to mix ancient landmarks with proper Roman food.

As the sailing continues west, things slow down again in Corsica and the French Riviera. Ajaccio is known for its palm-lined waterfront, market squares, and cafés spilling onto the streets, while Cannes feels effortlessly polished with beach clubs, designer boutiques, and restaurants overlooking the marina. Your final stop in Marseille rounds things off with a more local, lived-in feel, where fresh seafood, busy harbours, and sun-drenched squares capture the character of southern France before you return to Barcelona.
