Travel has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.
I’m Tracey Jeffrey, an independent Travel Counsellor based in Silsden, West Yorkshire, and I have spent over 35 years helping people turn their holiday ideas into memories they will treasure.
I started my career in a busy high street travel agency, eventually becoming a manager for a major brand. Those years taught me a huge amount: how to really listen to what a customer wants, how to spot the little details that make a big difference, and how to solve problems calmly when things do not quite go to plan. In 2002 I chose to join Travel Counsellors so that I could offer a more personal, flexible and truly bespoke service to my own customers.
Travel is not just my job, it is my passion. I love exploring the world myself and have first-hand experience of many destinations across the globe. That might mean recommending the little family-run taverna hidden away down a side street, suggesting the best time of day for that iconic viewpoint, or knowing which hotel will really suit you rather than just look good in a brochure.
Over the years I have arranged all kinds of holidays: simple flight-only bookings, relaxing package breaks, cruises, complex multi-stop and round-the-world itineraries, as well as accommodation-only stays. Some trips are once-in-a-lifetime celebrations, others are much-needed weeks in the sun, but each one is important to the person travelling, and I never lose sight of that.
My business is built on genuine relationships and exceptional service. I get to know my customers, their likes and dislikes, their wish lists and worries, so that I can take away the stress of planning and give them complete peace of mind. I offer independent advice, honest recommendations, and the reassurance of full financial protection through the Travel Counsellors trust.
