Beautiful Thailand
We flew from Heathrow with Emirates via Dubai . We started our Thailand adventure with an over night stay in Bangkok to break up the flying. We love Bangkok and always visit Koh San Road which has a street market every night to get a couple of souvenirs and a must have foot massage after all that travelling. Other trips in Bangkok that are worth visiting are the floating markets, a ride in a tuk tuk (brilliant) and the beautiful temples.
We then took an internal flight to Koh Samui and have stayed at both Lamai beach area and Bophut. We love them both but our favourite has to be Lamai, for its beautiful beach-side restaurants, weekly night market (Sundays) and the amazing Swing bar that has nightly fire shows. During the day there are lots of things to keep you occupied such as waterfalls, snorkelling trips, water sports, fishing, temples and much more.
We stayed here for 4 nights and then headed (via a short ferry trip) to Koh Phagnan. This is my favourite place in Thailand and we always stay at the same hotel right on the beach. It is very laid back here but still so much to do, whether you want to just lay in the sun and enjoy the surroundings or visit the near by Ang Thong Marine park (a must do), night market at Thong Sala, diving or maybe take a cooking class, we spent 4 nights here before heading to Koh Tao by sea catamaran.
Koh Tao is my husbands favourite island because of the amazing diving. We like to stay in Chalok Bay right by the beach, my husband completed a 2 day PADI open water course which he absolutely loved, Koh Tao really does have that tropical island feel. It is very slow paced with wonderful restaurants and bars and the best sunsets. We always stay bed and breakfast in Thailand because the food is so cheap and the best part of being in Thailand is going out and sampling all the wonderful delicacies.
