Exploring Jordan: A Journey of Community and Heritage at the GX Summit

Jordan's rich history and stunning landscapes provided the perfect backdrop for my adventure at the GX Summit on World Community Tourism. From vibrant Amman to the breathtaking ruins of Petra, this trip highlighted the impact of community-driven tourism. Here are the unforgettable highlights!

Just wrapped up an incredible journey to Jordan for the GX Summit on World Community Tourism! This country is an absolute gem and should be on everyone’s travel bucket list!

Day 1: Amman
Kicked off our adventure exploring the vibrant streets of Amman and attended a wonderful evening event at Eden Garden with Planeterra. Proud to be part of a movement that empowers communities through tourism.

Day 2: Jerash & Wadi Rum
Stepped back in time at the ancient Roman city of Jerash—truly a paradise for history enthusiasts! Later, we ventured into the breathtaking landscapes of Wadi Rum, enjoying a serene sunset walk before celebrating at a lively Bedouin camp. An absolute must-see!

Day 3: Wadi Rum & Petra
Started the day with a sunrise stroll and a thrilling jeep ride through Wadi Rum, hitting the tallest dune for stunning views! The highlight? Exploring Petra, the magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Site. Unforgettable moments, both day and night, including a magical evening show!

Day 4: The Dead Sea
What a unique experience floating in the Dead Sea and enjoying a delicious beach barbecue. A perfect way to unwind!

Day 5: GX Summit & World Community Tourism Day
Celebrated World Tourism Day with inspiring talks from industry leaders, including Bruce Poon Tip, about how community tourism is transforming lives. Ended with a fabulous white party at the Citadel in Amman and an epic after-party featuring The Jacksons! 🎉

Jordan has stolen my heart, and I can't wait to return!
