Father-Daughter Adventure in Trogir, Dalmatian Coast, Croatia

If you're considering a short escape during the shoulder season, I can't recommend Croatia highly enough. You'll encounter 50% fewer tourists while still enjoying warm temperatures and inviting waters, particularly in September. While most people flock to the stunning city of Dubrovnik, I was eager to explore what Trogir has to offer.

I had the opportunity to stay on Čiovo Island, which boasts a fantastic location just 10 minutes from the airport and a similar distance from the enchanting old town of Trogir. If you're comfortable driving abroad, I recommend renting a car. However, since our visit was short, we opted for taxis to and from the airport and used a combination of taxis and buses for local travel. The public transport was user-friendly, contactless, and always on schedule, although be mindful of reduced timetables during the off-season.

Split Airport was a breeze to navigate—small and efficient, we encountered no waits at all!

One of the highlights of our stay was a thrilling quad biking tour on Čiovo Island. This adventure, offered by the professional and family-run company "Adventure Quad Trogir," is accessible to anyone with a driver's license and even allows kids to ride along.

Don't miss the chance to explore Trogir's old town both during the day and at night; each time presents a different vibe in this UNESCO World Heritage site. The labyrinth of charming cobblestone streets will captivate you.

Nature enthusiasts must visit Krka National Park—it's an unforgettable excursion filled with breathtaking waterfalls and picturesque pathways. If time permits, take a boat to Skradin, where you can relax on its lovely beach.

If the weather permits, consider booking a trip to explore the nearby islands, including the stunning Blue Lagoon, especially if you enjoy snorkeling!

Ultimately, what made this trip truly special for me was the time spent creating memories with my dad. It wasn't just another trip; it was an experience to cherish forever.
