About me
Hello, I am Clare, your personal Travel Counsellor.
I have worked in travel for 33 years and spent more than 20 of those running my own business with Travel Counsellors. In that time I have helped clients with everything from simple weekends away to once‑in‑a‑lifetime adventures, always with the same aim: to make travel feel exciting, effortless and completely tailored to you.
My love of travel started in childhood when my family moved to Germany and we spent weekends driving around Europe, discovering new places together. Those early journeys sparked a curiosity about the world that never left me and led me to begin my career in the early 1990s with Thomas Cook.
Over the years I moved into luxury and long‑haul holidays and became a 24‑hour UK Duty Manager, supporting customers whenever they needed help. That role shaped how I work today: calm, caring and always in the background, so you never feel on your own if something unexpected happens.
How I work
I believe the best holidays start with a proper conversation. I will take the time to get to know you: how you like to travel, what you enjoy, what you prefer to avoid, and what a “perfect break” looks like in your world. From there, I design a trip around you rather than trying to fit you into something off the shelf.
I work closely with trusted partners, hotels and airlines around the globe, which means I can often add thoughtful touches and extra value where it really matters. It might be a room with just the right view, a seamless private transfer, a special restaurant recommendation or a unique experience you might not have found on your own.
You will have one point of contact from start to finish. I take care of the research, planning and organisation, leaving you free to simply look forward to going away.
